I kept hoping for something exciting to happen today or some deep thought to blog about but no luck. Everytime my brain had some quiet moment the phrase "it's Friday...it's Friday" would pop in! (A local radio station says that it is so exciting that it should be repeated). I have worked retail for many moons so therefore I could never appreciate Fridays, they might just be my mondays or any other day of the work week. However my recent change in positions at work has me working a standard M - F 8 to 4 week and somehow that drastically changes my perseption of Fridays. I don't know why that should make a difference, why should the last day of my work week feel better on a Friday than a Tuesday? I have decided that it is peer pressure, :) everybody else looks forward to Fridays...so shall I, and if my Friday is a Tuesday then I have been gipped! lol !
Actually I really think it is because now my days off coincide with Donnie and Justin's. Also because weekends at this time of the year mean basketball games. Sadly however, Justin's game for tomorrow has been cancelled so I must go a another week without a game :( . It is something I am sure parents can attest to, that sporting events are much more exciting when you have a kid on the court or field.
I think I will clean instead.

I have worked weekends forever. I guess that's what happens when you work at a church. For me Tuesdays never feel like a Friday. I think it is because of all the things you would normally do on a weekend you won't do on Tuesday if your kids are in school, your spouse is working etc.

It was my birthday....and I made dinner and read a book. That was my Friday! I used to have Thursdays off, but now I have only weekends. Such as they are. I don't get as much reading done, now..that is sad.
