A busy day

Sometimes Saturdays are nice easy relaxing days and sometimes you are so tired at the end of the day a 9 o'clock bed time sounds wonderful!
My day started at 4am, I know that earlier I stated that I was no longer working weekends but a good friend needed me to fill in at her store. I had to be there at 5 because I needed to be off by 11 so I could rush home, change and get to Vancouver by 11:45 for Justin's final b-ball game of the regular season. They won and he had a great game 14 pts and only played 2 quarters (he is #42 in the picture and he made that shot). It was too easy, our boys played very well but the other team just wasn't any good. Our bench players were in for the last 5 min, only scored 1 basket and we still won 51 to 30. I almost found myself cheering when the other team scored, they never stopped trying even when they were down by as much as 30 pts. They had one good player who made a amazing 3 pt shot at the buzzer, the ref only gave him 2 and it wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome but he was robbed of that stat.
Next
Justin's game was over a 1:15, back home to make try and make it in time for the 1:30 tip off of our boys varsity state playoff game. They won as well but their game was a lot harder so now they go to Baker City for the state tournament. Sound impressive? check this out, they go every year! I am so hoping that Coach Flint does not retire soon because I really want Justin to play for him, he runs a tight ship and really teaches alot to these kids. Game was over at 3.
3:30
Over to my friend Heidi's for a candle party. I know that seems silly to squeeze in to a busy day but she always comes to mine I needed to return the favor.
Home by 5:15, had to be at Dave and Sherri's by 5:30, we were late. Two years ago our small little church closed its doors. It was a very sad occasion, in a way it was good because the Elders realized the church was declining and in the early stages decided to close with dignity rather than wait to slowly fade away. Anyway a group of us get together every once in a while to stay in touch and last night the reunion was at the Paul's.
We got home at 8:30 and I was tired!
Asleep by 9:30
Whew!
Today is Sunday, a nice relaxing day. lol :)

Congrats to Justin...he has some serious air in that picture! Sounds like your day was packed...ours was quite the opposite. For the first time in at least 10 years Billy had a Saturday night off (while we were still in town) so we went over to the Accetta's instead of church.

Hopefully you had a nice lazy Sunday!

Hey, Baker City is kinda close to here...we could go to Justin's game next year!!!! My days are boring. I am thinking of stealing some ground from Rod and Dot to grow a garden. I babysit and that is tiring, but other than that, I read.
