Next on the agenda,

OK, so after the family reunion we decided to spend a day in Seattle and do the tourist thing due to the fact that Justin had never been there. For good or for bad we were there on the Saturday of Seattle's Seafair festival so it was a little crowded. I wandered the waterfront a little while Donnie and Justin went into the aquarium, luckily this was at the same time the Blue Angels were doing their air show. I couldn't see everything because we were not near the performance area but it was such a nice day I could see alot. It was really cool when they buzzed downtown Seattle and flew right over our
heads!
After that we visited the famous Pike Street Market. It was a very crowded on that day, I would love to go on a calmer day a spend more time exploring all the shops. Justin got into all the specialty food stores. We ended up with $50 worth of really good cheeses, jams, fresh Rainer cherries, honey and crackers (to eat the cheese with!) I know it was spendy but it was good stuff!
On to the Space Needle! you can't take a first timer to Seattle without visiting the Space Needle. Only Justin and I went up because it cost $16 dollars just to ride that silly elevator but it was cool, the view is amazing.
On my next installment, camping at the Oregon Coast.

odd, I have been to Seattle several times and never stepped foot on the needle. Of course, most of my visits were via the airport...but, not all of them.
