You know how to finish the sentence, right? Well apparently I gave a mouse a cookie and now his whole family wants a glass of milk!
Yes, we have mice. We never had a problem in our old house even though our neighbors had some issue's, I figured it was because we had cats. We were told by the previous owners of this house that they had problems off and on. But until last summer we had nary a squeak. I was at a loss as to why because we still had 3 cats, then I realized that in the spring Zach had passed away and he was my mouser. Tiger tries when the mood strikes him but the other two don't seem to care. Anyway we got rid of them last summer but like all pests they creep back when you are no longer vigilant.
So anyway I suspected they were back because Roxy (my dog) was getting real excited, barking, whining and sniffing around 2 particular corners of the house. On Saturday I was standing in the dining room when Roxy suddenly made a bee line for one of those corners. Justin and I flushed out the little rodent and Roxy caught it, let it go, caught it again, dropped it again! and then caught it again...and dropped it. I don't think she liked the taste of it, anyway the third time she must have injured it so it didn't run and Justin picked it up and tossed it outside. Now she has the fever, she sniffing everything (it's the hound in her) barking constantly and driving me crazy! but if she helps me get rid of them I am willing to put up with the chaos.
Who needs cats, just get a dog that is part hound.
To be fair to Tiger, he does catch mice but only when they are outside!

Mice...I've never had them in my house but definitely experienced them before. Our close friends have had rats in their garage. Joy!
I guess you should be glad it was just a mouse...you could've given a Moose a Muffin. Then you would be in really big trouble.
Or you could have given a pig a pancake!!! Messy, messy, messy!
Our cats do find mice, but as they are more inside now (no house yet)I encourage them to keep up their skills whenever they can. Just between all of us, I can't stand rats. Unless they are from NIMH.
